Friday Night Videos
It's a Friday Night Video Dance Party! Geek music rulez! See what I did there? I used a Z! That means it's the weekend!
Vulcan Ninja has declared that this song is 'gay'. I said, "Yes, it's Enola Gay". She shook her head.
Doesn't that guy look like Adric?
The crush I had on that girl could move stars.

ZOMG!!
I remember when the Spoons played Fryfogles. Some promoter genius booked the Nihilist Spasm Band as the opening act. You just know that went over well.
'Nova Heart,' huh? I always thought the chorus was "And I could sleep, sleep in your overalls."
Ahh, New Wave. I still remember how new, how revolutionary it felt. We thought the landscape of music was changing beneath our feet and would always be different and better. So young and foolish, no?
Sonny: HA! I'm surprised there was anyone left in the joint after the NSB finished their 'set'. Oh, am I not cool if I don't like them? Then not cool shall I be.
David: My God, didn't we? I really thought this was the beginning of a new era in humanity. And it lasted--what? Two years? The best New Wave is music that seems to come from an alternate world, where every sunset is heartbreaking, every woman is deep and finds you interesting, and no one anywhere has to do any physical labour. Come to think of it, it's probably a totalitarian state with great radio stations.
I should have read your post a little closer. I, too, had a major crush on Sandy Horne. Her band had played at my school in Hamilton back in late 1980(?), and she showed up at an impromptu party afterwards (in the the college bar). I just remember drinking too much 25-cent-per-glass draft and wishing she'd notice me. As I had (and never will have) and kind of 'game', I was relegated to worshipping her from afar.
