I pride myself on few things, but being an obsessive Star Wars fan is one of them. Okay, maybe 'pride' is the wrong word. Perhaps 'moodily accept' is more accurate. But I did not know this.
This is a case of Don Mclean's Eyebrows - or DME. Let me explain.
Many years ago a friend of mine told me to watch Don Mclean closely - he, of Hockey Night in Canada fame, of course. Noticing the puzzled look on my face, my friend was quick to add that I should concentrate on Mclean's eyebrows.
Still puzzled, the next broadcast saw me watching the man's eyebrows. The experience is personal to us all and must be internalized to gauge its true meaning, but let me say that those eyebrows are hypnotic. I've never watched a hockey game in quite the same way ever since.
So, Mr. Dork - The Wilhelm Scream is yet another DME experience. Bastard.

Definitely never noticed that, and yet - now that it's been pointed out to me - I wonder how I could ever have missed it!
I'm with you: this definitely counts as a life-changing bit of trivia, and what does that say about our sad, pathetic lives?!
